Our Work

Improving the health of humanity.

With access to 25 years of evidence and 10 years of research and insight surrounding emotion to date, the Institute aims to attract funding to continue this important work. In alignment with the Institute’s values, we intend to continue to publish the findings and educate people on how to connect to their emotion, leading to improved health and stronger relationships throughout ourselves, families, education systems, businesses, legal and political systems.

The Institute’s researchers will conduct keynote addresses at emotion related conferences with the aim of presenting the findings of our research and continue to educate teachers and parents on how to connect to their emotion to improve their teaching and parenting styles and ultimately achieve better outcomes for their children.

The Institute’s research aims to collaborate with neuroscientists and biomedical scientists to understand how connecting to emotion transforms lives. Identifying the emotion markers such as blood composition, heart rate variability, skin conduction, etc. to feel confident that emotion can be measured by exploring and isolating the confounding variables that cloud this complex area.

An example of applied research is working with teachers in primary school settings to help them connect to their emotion to improve their ability to engage with students. The results of our first study were promising. The notable results showed a statistically significant reduction in teacher burnout, reduced student disaffection, and a statistically significant reduction in student boredom and anger.

It is part of the Institute’s mission to educate the public on emotion by delivering public lectures, educate secondary school students on how to respond to difficult situations at school and in groups. Educating parents on developing a healthy parenting style so they can meet the developmental milestones of their children as they move through their lifespan.

The Institute works in collaboration with various stakeholders such as education systems, medical paradigms and scientific communities researching with the aim of advancing emotion research.
