We are looking for an open-minded creative thinker to take on the marketing, events and sponsorship role for our innovative charity organisation.

About the Institute

The Emotion Research Institute is dedicated to discovering, educating and applying new ideas to the research field of emotion and to educate people in how connecting to emotion can improve health and wellbeing in everyday life.

The Role

You will be guided by an experienced Board of Directors in working towards strategic goals and initiatives of the Institute. The role plays an integral part in shaping and supporting the elevation of the Institute’s profile throughout the community and delivering messaging in support of the Institute’s strategy to help people feel in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Communications, marketing and brand management.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Digital creation, podcasting production and media liaison.
  • Management of events, lectures and workshops.
  • Sponsorship and investor relations.
  • Attend monthly Board Meetings, minutes and preparation of documents.

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification/s in relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years in marketing and/or events coordination role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Track record in attracting sponsorships.
  • The desire to learn, grow and develop within the role.
  • Advanced capability with Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of and editing ability of WordPress website CMS.

Desirable

  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector or a passion to become involved and work closely with our key stakeholders.
  • Have an established business network.
